First mined in the 1970’s Agua Nueva Agate comes from a location about 20 miles south of the Agua Nueva Ranch which is about an hour north of Chihuahua , Mexico. This beautiful agate was mined less then 40 miles from the location where Laguna Agate was mined. Agua Nueva Agate: is known for its wonderful colors of purple and pink, great red moss, and tube formations. Once minded in the 1970's, Agua Nueva has been mined: very recently, but has since ceased.
