Our first set of: Custom Faceted & Wire Wrapped Visionite Necklace/Pendant/Slide/Enhancer in Sterling Silver Wire .935  This is a stone that was Faceted by a friend from our Gem Club and we are honored to have it. Size: Size: Earrings: CT 4.3  7/8 × 7/16 Inch or 22mmx11mm Pendant/Necklace CT 14.32  1 7/16 × 11/16 or 36mm x 17mm 

What is Visionite: People see this material every day. It was a practicing substance used by our Lapidarius. It's actually a corner piece of an older large flat-screen TV screen.  A real one-of-a-kind piece.  A beautiful stone. 

Adding to our discription from our faceter: I was looking through the new December Rock & Gem and on page 28, the description of Natron caught my eye. Look at the last 4 lines and How it relates to Visionite. I’ve known it’s leaded glass but this description may explain why it’s so appealing to the eye. If you don’t have a copy, here’s what it says. “During the Roman occupation of the Holy Land, glass makers began producing high-refraction glass by adding lead oxide to the glass mix to increase density and thus refractive index and brilliance.”
